Only 2 days to go until Moira (Nick Ruff’s wife) and Catherine (Moira’s sister) embark on their Bath to Bristol walk in aid of Network. Ted will be going along for moral support … still time to sponsor on http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/Brooms

From 10th April to 9th October if you are a Co-op member and choose Network as your local cause then every time you buy Co-op own brand goods they donate 1% to Network. Become a member, log-on at coop.co.uk/membership and choose Network … if you cannot see us then select 15 mile radius and Health as the category. Remember if you chose us last time you will need to confirm this again. Last time we raised over £900 together and then the Co-op added some more. Let’s try and raise more than £2,000 this time!

Moira Ruff and her sister Catherine Whiteman are going to walk from St Luke’s Church in Bath where we have a satellite counselling team to St Andrews Methodist Church in Filton – our planned new premises. It is 18 miles and they will complete it on 30th April. To sponsor them follow the link below. If you would like to join them in the sponsored walk then please let us know.

We tend not to use tin cans anymore …

… but we are looking for an able and innovative person to continue to develop our fundraising and to communicate imaginatively about our work with our supporters. Could this be you? It is for 2 days per week and full details and contact details for an application pack can be found here

If you would happy to volunteer as a qualified Youth Counsellor for half a day we would be happy to cover the related costs of supervision, insurance and provide the accommodation as well as at least 50% of our CPD courses. If you have experience in counselling Children and Young People then please contact either louise.mill@network.org.uk or christine.board@network.org.uk or phone 0117 950 7271

SO FAR NEARLY £900 has been raised from the 1% of purchase costs  of Co-op groceries by Co-op member. Still time to support us as it has been extended to April. If you are/become a Co-op member and live within 15 miles of  Network then you can choose to support Network through your shopping. We are also under the Health category so if at first you do not see us select that category to narrow the search. You have to be a member and be local to where we are and 1% will be given to Network each time you shop for Co-op groceries.  http://www.coop.co.uk/membership/local-community-fund/

If you are/become a Co-op member and live around our office then Network will be one of the community groups that you can support through your shopping. You have to be a member and be local to where we are and 1% will be given to Network each time you shop.  http://www.coop.co.uk/membership/local-community-fund/

Share Your Story

Calling all past clients! This year Network will have helped more than 10,000 people with ‘pay what you can’ counselling. Are you one of them? Would you like to share your story – how counselling helped and what the impact has been? Coming to counselling can be a frightening for many people and hearing how others have experienced counselling may inspire people to get the help they need.  We would love to hear from you – you can contact us by letter/email or post your thoughts on social media. Any stories we share will be anonymous unless you would like us to use your first name.  Thank You.

Our next CPD event is ‘Understanding Child and Adult Bullying’ with Helena Wilkinson on Saturday 1st October. Find out more here

Why not sponsor Andrew and P-j in Bristol Half Marathon this Sunday @virgingiving and you could even come along on Sunday 25th in the morning and cheer them along the way. See the map of the route.
