In response to the Covid crisis and the widely felt impact it has had both on mental health and people’s financial circumstances, Network is significantly increasing the number of counselling sessions available to people on very low incomes.
If you are, or someone you know is:
- having difficulties with any aspect of mental health, and
- on an income of less than £750 a month
Network’s Emerging Stronger project can offer 6 sessions of counselling at an expected contribution of £5 per session.
To arrange an appointment to explore whether counselling might help you please call 0117 9507271 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
In response to the Covid crisis and the widely felt impact it has had both on mental health and people’s financial circumstances, Network is responding to the deep and wide reaching need for quality, accessible counselling in the community.
The Emerging Stronger project is a specific piece of work that means that Network can offer double the number of sessions we usually provide to people on very low incomes between June 2021 and June 2022.
The project will raise awareness of Network’s affordable counselling service, aiming to work with the local community to reach people on very low incomes who may not otherwise be aware of or able to access support.
If you are part of a community organisation or Church that would like to support individuals on very low incomes to self-refer, you may find the following digital and printable materials helpful to share:
Counselling has been shown to work best when the person seeks help themselves. If you would like to refer an individual to Network for counselling as part of the Emerging Stronger project, please share this web page or a flyer with the person and encourage them to contact us. We will send a registration form link via email. If the person you want to refer has no access to a computer or email, or is unable to use a computer, we can send them a paper form. If the person needs assistance completing the registration form, you are welcome to assist them.
All clients on low incomes will have the choice of whether to receive 6 sessions of counselling as part of the project, or to join the waiting list for our longer-term affordable counselling service. Any Network client is welcome to return to counselling after their initial counselling with us, and clients from the Emerging Stronger project may choose to join the waiting list for our core service following their 6 sessions.
The project has been fully funded to run alongside our core counselling service, and we are grateful to the many private donors and charitable Trusts and Foundations who have made this work possible, including:
Allchurches Trust, The Singer Foundation, The Souter Charitable Trust, Medlock Charitable Trust, Quartet Community Foundation and National Lottery Awards for All.
