When Therapy Becomes Soul Work
Writers such as Hillman, Moore and Elkins have argued that we urgently need to embrace an re-visioning of psychology and psychotherapy, that we need in effect to “put the soul back” in psychotherapy. In this workshop we will explore the concept and experience of soul, both from a spiritual and psychological perspective. We will look at therapy as a creative, existential and spiritual process, and will explore the concept of soul work. Finally, we will consider what it might mean in practice to incorporate such a focus in our work as therapists.
