Remembering Network in your Will – A Donation of Just 1% Will Give The Gift of Counselling.
One in three people say they would be happy to leave a gift in their will to charity, once family and friends have been taken care of, but only one in 15 actually take the step of doing so. If you decided to leave Network a gift in your Will, you would be helping us continue our work for many years into the future – giving someone in crisis the gift of counselling. And because we are a relatively small charity your support has real impact, however large or small EVERY gift makes a difference.
In remembering a charity in your will you can give as little or as much as you wish. Network Counselling & Training have been hugely grateful to those who have chosen to give to us in this way. Without the generous donations we have received over the past 30 years we would not have been able to help provide counselling to people in crisis regardless of their ability to pay. Because of the kindness and generosity of our supporters no-one is turned away and all are welcome.
By remembering Network Counselling in your will you will be providing someone with the gift of counselling, a space to be heard that can have a lasting impact on their lives and the lives of those closest to them.
The different ways to donate in your Will are:
Residual Gift: You can leave a percentage of what’s left over (residuary gift), once loved ones are taken care of. Because it will keep up with inflation and retain its value over time, a residuary gift will make a big difference to a charity like Network.
Cash Legacy: Leaving a specific sum of money as a gift.
Specific Legacy: Leaving a specific item such as a painting or a piece of jewellery that you think will be of some value when sold.
In Memory Gifts: You can specify that if anyone wants to make a donation in your memory, it should be to support the work of Network Counselling.
And remember if you already have a will don’t worry – you don’t need to make a new one, you can simply add a codicil, (a Codicil is a document that amends, rather than replaces, a previously executed Will), for a residual, cash or specific gift.
If you would like more information or have any questions about leaving a legacy we are very happy to chat with you in confidence. Please call Reception on 0117 950 7271 and ask for a call back at a time convenient to you from Nick or email nick.ruff@network.org.uk
NB: We wish to add that it is very important to take independent professional advice when writing your Will.
