I’m Anne Duke, Head of Training at Network and trainer on our Introductory Courses and a trainer of our external Listening Courses.  I have worked with Network since 2016 although worked as a volunteer Counsellor and Supervisor for many years before.  Being a Graduate of Network Counselling courses myself, I know the courses we deliver are of the highest quality and certainly proved to be life changing for me.  I also work in Private Practice as a Counsellor and Supervisor and have worked in the field of Education for over 25 years as a Counsellor, Mentor and in the field of Careers Advice and Guidance.  I continue to offer Counselling in a Bristol Secondary School.

I love to spend time outside in nature walking and exploring with my two lovely and energetic spaniels, I also enjoy reading, playing netball and going to the theatre whenever I can.  One of my favourite things to do is sit by the sea taking in the views and sounds – obviously with a good cup of coffee!

I’m Rhianan Lowes, Senior Tutor on the Advanced Diploma team. My previous experience includes working in several charity roles in the homeless sector and deprived areas of economic need across Bristol. I also worked as a volunteer presenter on Community radio for several years.  I have been a qualified Counsellor since 2016 and later trained in Relationship Counselling as well as Counselling supervision. I have my own private practice seeing clients as well as Supervisees, both qualified and student Counsellors. I have taught level 5 Psychotherapeutic Counselling for 4 years previous to starting with Network counselling and have had the privilege of seeing several cohorts complete their qualification to become a fully qualified counsellor.  

My main approach is Person Centred as I believe this must be at the core of any therapeutic approach. I would describe myself as an Integrative therapist as I also see the benefits of bringing in other approaches at the right time for each unique client need.  With a busy work life I believe in good self-care and so some of my interests include Travel, Theatre and trying new places to eat and enjoy the flavours of life!  I am a huge Marvel fan and so often geek out on movies too! I also have a daughter who is in University and so I like to spend as much free time with her as I can. 

I’m Emma Duncan and I work on the Advanced Diploma course with Rhianan. My background is in youth and community work, usually with those on the edges of society. I realised I needed counselling in my tool box, so retrained at the University of Bristol and started in private practice in 2012. I have loved returning to education as an adult (I perhaps didn’t make the most of it first time around!) and believe that when someone finds the right course at the right moment it can be profoundly life-changing. I have worked at Bath Spa University as a tutor on a research Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and enjoy the academic, as well as the practical side, of counselling.

I am a keen creator, so spend a lot of my spare time making furniture, writing songs, firing ceramics, upholstering things, or cooking up a ridiculously complicated recipe, to varying degrees of success in each category.

I’m Louise Mill, Senior Tutor on the Advanced Diploma team. It is a privilege to be part of the training team at Network, where I have worked for over ten years. Network has meant a lot to me, both as a student, and as a trainer, and I hope to be able to offer current students the encouragement, support and knowledge that I’ve gained over the years. As well as being involved in training, I have a private practice as a counsellor and supervisor.

When I’m not working I enjoy journaling (especially using beautiful stationery), being by the sea, relaxing with a good book, or sharing a coffee or glass of wine in the company of a close friend.

I’m Rachel Kempsell, I joined the training team in 2021 and currently hold the role of Personal Development Tutor for one of the Diploma cohorts. My Diploma and Masters were in integrative therapy but with a strong focus on person-centred theory. I hold a small private practice, work as a Clinical Service Manager and am currently completing training to be a Certified Transactional Analyst. I love the energy and the compassion of Network and feel very honoured to be a part of the journey of counsellors-in-training.  

I spend a lot of my own time on dog walks, listening to podcasts and trying to get through my huge stack of second-hand book recommendations!

I’m Erika Teucher. I am Course Leader and Course Tutor on the Advanced Certificate course, as well as a member of the introductory courses tutoring team. I came into counselling after a long career as a Primary School Teacher and have benefitted hugely from being a student on the Network Advanced Certificate and Advanced Diploma.  As well as having my own small private practice, I am currently a Volunteer Counsellor with Network and feel privileged to be part of this organisation.

Spending time with my family is very important to me and I enjoy going for long walks or drinking coffee with good friends. Pilates keeps me fit as well as calm, and I love to curl up with a good book or Netflix series, sometimes with a box of chocolates or a glass of wine!

I’m Fiona Morrison, Personal Development Tutor on the Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills course. I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London and I’ve been a counsellor in private practice since 2005. I was a volunteer administrator with Network in its very early days, and I’m delighted to be back supporting students as they take their first steps in this rewarding profession. I’ve also had a long career in marketing, working for many organisations both in the UK and overseas. My aim is to draw on all my experience in helping students to develop and apply their skills.

I enjoy reading, tennis and theatre-going – I’ve even been known to tread the boards myself. I find writing relaxing, and have produced a few silly poems over the years – of no literary merit whatsoever!

I’m Sarah Couzens, Skills Tutor on the Advanced Certificate course, and member of the introductory courses tutoring team. I completed my training at Network in 2019 coming from a long career in teaching, lecturing and advisory work for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Having received such life-changing training as a Network student myself, I am keen to support other students on their journey so I am delighted to be part of the team. I have a small private practice and work as a counsellor in a large secondary school in Oxfordshire.

I enjoy running and dinghy sailing and love the theatre, doing a bit of ‘am dram’ myself in my local group. My biggest joy is cuddling my gorgeous grandson and hearing him chuckle.   

I’m Susan Bater, a tutor on the Introductory Courses and Advanced Diploma. I did my counselling training at Network and found the teaching I received to be of the highest quality – it was challenging, life-changing and enjoyable! I have worked as a volunteer counsellor at Network for several years and also volunteered as a course co-facilitator on Psycho-educational courses in a local IAPT organisation. I also run a small private counselling practice.

I’m Sue Woodhead-Marsh and I’m the Training Coordinator.  I have been working for Network since February 2015 and am committed to the life-changing work this organisation does.  My role is to undertake the admin for all our courses – including being a first point of contact, producing pre-course publicity and related materials, managing the application and booking processes, and generally ensuring that everything runs smoothly before, during and after the courses.  I’m passionate about health & well-being, learning and personal development. In my spare time I love reading, listening to music, watching movies and walking (especially by the sea!)
