Advanced Diploma Tutors

We are seeking to fill two new posts within our Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Counselling (accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy):

Senior Tutor: £10,704 pa   Training day – Thursdays (term time)

Course Tutor: £10,143 pa   Training day – Thursdays (term time)

Both roles will involve teaching Network’s Core Self model to Advanced Diploma students.  The Senior Tutor role will have an oversight role for all aspects of the course working closely with the Advanced Course Leader and the Course Tutor.

The Core-Self model is an integrative person-centred model and seeks to draw together the person-centred and the spiritual in a meaningful synthesis and in this respect might best be described as a person-centred psychospiritual model.

We are looking for qualified counsellors with at least an HE/NQF Level 5 Diploma in Counselling, having some previous experience of working as a counselling trainer,  ideally having experience and/or a qualification in counselling supervision or prepared to undertake Supervision training and be accredited with the BACP, NCS or other relevant professional body (or working towards accreditation).

Counsellors: Emerging Stronger Project

7.5 or 15 hours per week

Salary £27,000 pa pro rata

11 month fixed term posts

Network is looking for two experienced counsellors to deliver counselling to clients with a wide range of issue as part of our Emerging Stronger project.

The Emerging Stronger project is a piece of work specifically to respond to the urgent need for increased availability and access to counselling as a result of the Covid crisis, particularly for the financially disadvantaged. The project aims to provide 6 sessions of counselling/therapy to 166 clients on low incomes in 2021. This will more than double the number of sessions that Network provides to clients on very low incomes.

Network was established over 30 years ago and has a reputation for the quality and professionalism of the counselling and training it provides; and for its warm environment and sense of community. Network has a Christian, person-centred ethos which is inclusive and welcoming to people of all faiths and none.

Volunteer Counsellors

We need volunteer counsellors! We’d love to hear from you if:

  • you are a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist
  • you are interested in supporting low cost counselling
  • you can commit to a half day a week.

We provide supervision, admin and managerial support, a wide range of client work and the opportunity to be part of a friendly team.

Trustee vacancies

The Board of Trustees of Network Counselling and Training is seeking to appoint new Trustees to give direction and oversight to the charity in line with its Christian ethos. There are currently four Trustees.

We are looking for prayerful Christians committed to Network’s vision of providing affordable counselling and high quality training in counselling.  If you have skills and experience derived from working in business, from working professionally or in ministry, and if you are willing to bring your skills and experience to Network, please contact the General Manager – You will be put in contact with Eileen Cahill, Chair of Trustees to discuss the role further.

The role involves four evening meetings per year, and some additional meetings, at Network’s premises in Elm Park, Filton in North Bristol. The position is unpaid with no expenses paid.
