Network recognises its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults and children. A vulnerable adult is anyone over the age of 18 years who through disability, frailty, age, learning difficulties or mental ill health could be the subject of abuse.
Many of our clients are the victims of different kinds of abuse including physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual and neglect and we have a role to play in protecting them from harm, safeguarding their welfare as well as preventing abuse.
Network’s safeguarding policy is aimed at providing information and guidance for staff, students and volunteers. The full policy is available on request from reception@network.org.uk
