This course has broken new ground in counselling training in the UK.  It is suitable for students who have completed substantial Certificate level counselling training and who wish to train as  professional counsellors, equipped to work in a range of settings – voluntary, statutory and private practice.

What makes this course different is its emphasis on the integration of faith, spirituality and counselling practice.  In addition to covering the same ground that is covered by comparable humanistic Diploma courses, the course will also give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of human spirituality and to explore the interface between your own developing spirituality and your practice. As we run our own counselling agency we are able to provide placements to students and this also includes free supervision.

Update – 25th March 2020.  Despite the very unusual situation we are facing as a country right now, Network is still looking towards the future – and we are committed to continuing our training provision as usual next year.

Whatever things look like when we emerge from the current challenges, there is no doubt that the process will have taken its toll on many, many people.  As such we anticipate that there will be a great demand for mental health services going forward, and Network is fully committed to continuing playing its part – both in the provision of counselling services, and also training new people to take on that role in our society.

Therefore, we are working, as normal at this time of year, towards recruitment for the Diploma course starting September 2020.  The closing date for applications remains the same.  The interview dates remain the same at present, although what form the interviews will take remains to be decided.  We will keep all applicants fully informed throughout the process.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 31st March  2020.

It is unlikely that there will be a group interview this year.

Individual interviews will take place on Thursday 23rd April and Monday 27th April. A reserve date of 11th May is scheduled for individual interviews for anyone unable to make the April dates.
