Network are looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of our work.
Who we’re looking for
We welcome applications from people of Christian faith who share our belief that counselling can change lives. You don’t need previous experience of being a trustee. We particularly encourage applications from members of minority communities who are under-represented in governance roles. If you have lived experience of counselling, that is also very welcome.
Professional skills in accountancy, law, HR, business, fundraising or higher education are especially helpful but what matters most is your wisdom, faith and commitment.
Why join us?
Network is in an exciting phase. We have a healthy culture, stable finances and a strong leadership team. Our courses are well respected and our counselling service continues to grow steadily. We have opportunities to expand: reaching more people, developing new training programmes and building strong partnerships across the city.
As a Trustee, you will help guide Network’s work, ensuring we remain true to our mission, act within the law and always prioritise the needs of the people we serve.
What’s involved
- The Board usually meets five times a year, mostly on weekday evenings, with one full-day meeting annually. Meetings are in person, though online attendance via Zoom or Teams is possible when needed.
- Trustees are expected to prepare for meetings by reviewing papers in advance.
- Beyond meetings, Trustees are encouraged to contribute their skills in ways that suit them—supporting staff, helping with fundraising, reviewing policies or exploring opportunities to grow our impact.
