Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills (Level 4)
For those looking to begin their counselling training. This one-year course will equip you with a solid foundation of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills grounded in the Core-Self model – an integrative Person-Centred model unique to Network Counselling & Training, which recognises and explores the innate spiritual dimension of human nature and experience. This course is quality assured by the NCPS.
Advanced Diploma in Counselling (Level 5)
For those who are looking to complete their training and become accredited professional counsellors. Suitable for those who have recently completed our Level 4 Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills, or an equivalent Level 3 or 4 course in Counselling at another provider. This two-year course will build on your existing skills and knowledge of Person-Centred Counselling, developing your practice through a 150-hour counselling placement undertaken here at Network or at another suitable counselling agency. Successful completion of this course will equip and qualify you to work as a counsellor in a range of settings – voluntary, statutory and private practice. This course is accredited by the BACP and NCPS.
Introductory Courses
The ideal first step for those considering Counselling Training, or for those wishing to develop their listening and counselling skills for use in other roles and settings such as pastoral care, management, nursing or teaching. Our range of short evening courses (12 weeks, 2-3 hours per week) will introduce you to listening & counselling skills, person-centred counselling theory, and to developing your own self-awareness, understanding and self-acceptance.
Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People (Level 5)
For already qualified counsellors wishing to train to work therapeutically with Children and Young People. This course is delivered over 7 weekends across the year.
CPD and Bespoke Training
We deliver a wide range of CPD workshops throughout the year for qualified and trainee counsellors and therapists. We can also deliver bespoke training workshops or courses on a variety of topics for organisations involved in helping relationships, for example nursing, teaching, support work, youth work or pastoral care.
