Open Evenings

Are you interested in a career in counselling?  Why not come along to one of our Open Evenings, see our new premises and find out more? An Open Evening for the Advanced Certificate course will be held on Tuesday 6th March and the Diploma course on Thursday 15th March, starting at 7.30pm. Anne Duke with Elizabeth Gregory, Rector at St Peters Church, Filton, being presented with a cheque for £2,000 from the Andrews Charitable Trust to set up and run a listening project.  Network will be supporting the church and delivering Listening Training for ‘Listening Ear volunteers’ in February 2018.

Tutor Vacancy

We are looking for a self-employed tutor to co-tutor our ‘Being There’ course in September 2017.

You will be a qualified Counsellor with a Person-Centred or Integrative approach with a minimum of 1 years post-qualifying experience.

The ‘Being There’ course is one of our Introductory Counselling Skills courses which is delivered over a 12 week period and focuses on training those interested in developing basic listening and counselling skills.  You will be working alongside an experienced Tutor delivering training on Monday evenings.

Our CPD Seminar, on Friday 24th March 2017, will address the issue of bullying – a growing problem in a wide range of contexts such as school, work, home, church and relationships.  We will be looking at the nature and effects of bullying, why people are targeted, why bullies bully and how to recover.  The session will be led by Helena Wilkinson – writer, trainer and international speaker – and author of ‘Insight into Child & Adult Bullying’.
